Yeah was rumoured last weekend that we were going to bid £3m and United were going to go in with a £10m package.
Ours has now been confirmed, more or less anyway, where as Uniteds hasnt come to light yet.

TBH we never spend any money on anyone labelled as 'the next big thing', we just nick them from their clubs before they sign full contracts and pay compo

TBH atleast you nicked him off another club so is only giving you the shit back. It happened to us with both McManaman and Owen - and they came through our acadamy from 11 upwards

I definately think its a backward step for him, alhoguh I suspect he may suit the Italian game, but I can't see him playign week in week out and havign the impact he had with us this season!
Now to replace him and Gilberto Denilson will be one... Barry the other maybe?!

Denilson has looked good but a little weak and not as strong as Flamini
Other than that we are no desperately lacking in all departments IMO

Villa has been linked with everyone. Kranjkar is over rated. Obefami martins, £15m yeah ok then as if arsenal would pay more than £10m

I keep seeing this link with Oba even though he keeps coming out and saying he wants to stay with Newcastle for life.
Really wouldn't like to see him leave, you can have Viduka instead
