cheers

update yet again

had work 7.30 till 11, and when i got back i thought i may aswell have a crack at the exhaust...

got all the tools out and jacked up the car etc, after about 1 hour i got the standard exhaust off, then the remus centre section wouldnt go on as i was having trouble getting the exhaust sleeve thats on the standard section, i was getting so pissed off, then when i put the standard backbox up to the remus section it wouldnt fit as it was the same size bore, that was it i chucked my ratchet straight through the garden fence...

rang my mate with his recovery truck, so got the car all strapped up, then we had a short journey to kingswinford exhausts, who did a custom job of chopping and tacking it all up and got it sitting very nice..

after about 30/40mins it was done and i was on my way home

its not loud, not as loud as my 6x4 and that wasnt loud at all tbh, but now it picks up alot better in the rev range, its more raspy now with the remus straight through into the standard backbox..

heres a few pics..

its flush underneath so its perfect for some real slammage..

plus the back looks alot smoother looking which i like

rang up a few places today inc k'ford tyres and exhaust today to ask a few things about what they could do for me, so should be having it booked in there soon..

also coilsprings, to ask a few questions about some springs to be made as im selling the ones ive just bought, so hopefully will be ordering some from there shortly..

and as some people may know it failed the mot yesterday on..

side rep bulbs
side light bulbs
headlight clips
numberplates
handbrake cable

ive got everything sorted apart from the handbrake cable, so will do that soon, and have 12months mot

lil update...

been in for its 2nd session on modifying the exhaust at the local custom exhaust place, now it sits realy high (plus had two small exhaust rubbers on the backbox), plus little one off jobbie on the back box

standard corsa backbox

+

3" scorpion backbox from a series 1 rs turbo

=

also i modified the rear dampers to aid for the big drop when the rear springs come..

also wound down the coilovers on the front, sits about 70mm now (so wont look to high when the rear is lowerd, got about 20mm left to go down)

and gave the car a good clean..

got a few things coming mid week so i will update again then..

if it's down 70mm, then you only got 10mm left

i know what you mean, but it is about 70mm now, but i have 2cm of thread left..

but before i wound it down, i had 6cm of thread left, ive wound it down 4cm but the arch has gone down 2cm...

so basically 2cm of thread equals 1cm the arch will drop..
