i'm completely torn between:

getting a whiteline Rear ARB £130

or getting a DA polisher and all the kit to get my paint looking perfect (i've been spending time on detailnig world ) £140

or finally getting my semi-smooth bootlid sprayed £150

The forgotten crashes.....

i don't seem to have put these into my project thread so hear are the two crashes that lead to me having all the bodywork redone!

CRASH 1

at the end of march someone crashed into my car whilst it was parked up at the side of the road no details left either

so, light smashed, arch paint fecked, bumper paint fecked, and rear quater all bent in and out of shape

so got it home and striped off the light to get a look at the damage

it just looked like it had been pushed in so me and my dad using a surprisingly useful scissor jack set about pushing it out, we left the bumper and arch on to line the panel up to.

Once it was roughly in the right area, we took bumper and arch off

it just needed a little persuading and everything lined up
so now im left with this, after a good polishing and some badgersport style arch painting

CRASH 2

then it happened again , for the second time in as many months my car has been crashed into whilst parked

it happened at a corsa sport meet in April, a golf reversed into me, his foot slipped off the clutch so it hit me at about 10-15mph.

pics of the damage:

the light (depo ) and bonnet are fcked and the bumper needed repainting, my grill was broke and the upper slam panel was bent.

fortunatly the guy who hit me was sound and paid in cash for the damage.

so yea i was really pissed off

had my car looking like this

all the kit was in the bodyshop and the car was going in, in 3 days.

but when i got it all back and put it all togother it was well worth it

so i was happy again

p.s sorry for randomness but just thought i'd add it in!

thanks alot mate

and gez: i had the bumpers, new arches, skirts, new bonnet, and rear quater resprayed. with two dents taken out the quater aswell.

it cost £680 for all that, the guy who hit me the second time gave me £500 in cash so didnt have to pay all of it.

had to fork out £100 if it on new depos though!

thanks alot guys

quite a differing opinion on the irmscher lip!

I like it though mainly because it's so rare and covers up the rear tyres!

didn't think about that... he has a week and a half so maybe, but then again probably not!

but he said he will guarantee the work which is a major bonus so if it cracks again free fix..

also getting both my rear arches redone as the paint has flaked a touch where it curves under the rear lights
