Hi, Ian just asked me for some clarification on this.
As far as I am aware the paragraph that states:
One or two people pulled a face when told of their cars power outputs but most of the frowns turned upside down when told the figures were being quoted at the wheels not at the flywheel, which is the format we use in the mag.
Thats referring not to the figures published in the mag, which are flywheel figures, its referring to the lower figures people were initially quoted on the day by the rolling road.
Thats my understanding anyway, but as I wasnt there myself, I cant claim its a definitive reply.
So for example a 100bhp car would have been quoted on the day initally something more along the lines of 80bhp, but then once taken back to a prejected flywheel figure, it would be back at 100bhp.
hope that helps.

Yes that is exactly what I am saying I beleive to be the case.
That ALL those figures, are predicted flywheel figures.

not quite adam
chip, you said that the figures that were given to the people on the day were the wheels power. the figures you have on your graph are the same as we got on the paper copy.
this means that you have contradicted yourself.

im just wanting clarification thats all..
as far as i can make out we were given fly power on the day and its also fly power thats in the mag..
end of good night..
but if chip is saying we got wheel figures on the day but the tv issue states fly
both the readings gave the same number.

Im saying the verbal figures quoted initially sound like they were at the wheels, not the final printouts or the figures in the mag.
Sounds like there was some confusion on the day, but those figures there are NOT wheels figures, no way, just bloody look at them!

if there is any form of doubt i will raise it..
chip, you are in agreement that the paper copys we received and the total vaux results are in fly figures..
i know and you know this is the case but there are some ppl that just need to see it in black and white.

Just in case I havent made it clear enough so far:
Figures quoted in the TV league, are ALWAYS quoted at the fly.

I havent seen everyone's paper copies, but if they correspond to the numbers quoted in the mags, then YES they are flywheel figures not at the wheels.
The mag only ever quote flywheel figures on the TV league as it has to be the same rules for everyone.
That said, of course there will always be slight variations from roller to roller, but we do our best to keep it as fair as possible.
