a little tip with a wee bit of modifying to the flange you can fit an 1.6 manifold which means it'll match up with a standard corsa system. Or any after market system.
I'm going for a Z18XE manifold
I took a photo to show how tight the inlet is to the matrix pipes:

The head is different to the 1.6, the stud pattern on the inlet and exhaust is very different.

I cant see the difference? I'm using a sump from a 1.6 Astra G which is identical to the original.. I only replaced it because the original was cracked.

Maybe Warren means a x16xe sump?

considering lee303 on mig used the exhaust manifold off his 1.6 lump with a wee bit of modifying.
port height from the deck height is different, but the port spacing and shape is the same So can't be that hard

Why do you want to use a X16XE sump?

its supposedly got more clearance and that means there is no matching needed as 1.6 exhaust is the same as the corsa's iirc

i mean the x16xe sump is smaller than the standard x18xe1 sump(so more clearance on speedbumper etc), and iirc you need the x16xe sump for the x16xe manifold to fit over it and im not sure but i would have thought the x18xe1s manifold and down pipe is different due to the different body shop of both cars, but the x16xe fits the same as every other corsa, so no mateing required i might be wrong though im sure warren wll clear me up

lee has a dry sump for a start
im using a x16xe manifold, which requires me to fit a x16xe sump
which requires the z18xe pick up pipe to be shorterened
