I said as soon as Torres got injured that I'd take the draw (or even a loss!) here as we'd still go through.

Thought we had a great first half and should of scored a few more goals, especially when Keane tried to be a bit too fancy. His goal was offside, but then again Benayoun had an onside one give off so evened it self out.

Athletico were unlucky not to get the win given the off side decisions, but at the end of the day the result was good for us and really happy with it. Get them back at Anfield in 2 weeks, get 3pts and put us through

That big nose cunt Phil Thompson made me laugh. Reckoned Liverpool were going to hammer Madrid after the first goal went in.

Never heard him.

We should of done though, were all over them first half and should of scored more than the one. A full strength side out (aka Torres) and we'd of got atleast 3 in that first half.

In the end we didnt, and a draw was a great result.

Missing Torres, Kuyt, Aurellio and Skrtel who were all starting ahead of the other players in there last night. Then Keane went off on 50mins and Gerrard on 60mins.
