will have a camera soon hopefuly.
my engine mounts arrived late this evening so hopefully will have the engine back in by tomorrow!! just got the little jobs left to do then, get plenty of pics of it done then, just got to get the gsi bumper sprayed first tho

hi mate!! yeah got the engine in this morning!, just got to put a new heater matrix in as i broke it taking the engine out (was still connected)
so i'll get a heat matrix in the morning, will put it in then and connect all the water..
Engine started 1st time aswel , will take it for a spin tomorrow now!! cant wait
taken plenty of pics aswel so will upload those soon as

just thought i'd put a list up of what has been done to the car while the engine has been out;
raceland 4-2-1 manifold-£170
vxperformance inlet-£190
sportex decat-£60
timing belt-£75
alternator belt and tensioner-£45
complete engine mounts-£140
removed a/c
bought sparco fixed bucket seats-£££
complete head gasket set-£40
steering rack-£60
rear drums -£75
sold my irmscher splitter and fogs. bought a gsi bumper complete (being painted)

should do for now, just want a rear arb to finish it off

cheers mate, should turn that nice purple, blue colour when the heat gets to it the rear drums were £60-65+ p&p from autovaux, they're more expensive because they've got the abs rings in them

connected all the exhaust system together and let the engine run for a while for it to sort itself out etc,
after a good few minutes gave it a couple of revs and guess what....??











it pops flames!!
not all the time just the odd Big sneaky ones!!! will get a vid of it and post it up at some point

ha ha, mine dont even have a inlet and shoots em its cool lol same as yours though usually when i give it beans and change it quick ive been told by several people it shoots a bluey yellows flame sometimes pops like a pug sport on the change down

yeah! mine pops quite alot now, and my manifold has gone a gold, blue colour looks stunning,

still got a couple of tihings to do tho, when i took the car off the road the cv joint was making a clicking noise, but when i took the car out last nite i think i finished the cv joint off it was worth the 10 minute fun in the car tho, so going to get one of those this week now and a wheel bearing for the same side

taken my bucket seats out and put the standard interior back in today, i use the car everyday and just foud them a hastle climbing in and out of

i had same problem with my old car! even though i had a smaller steering wheel than standard, and seats were quite far from the pedals, i always touched the steering wheel with my knees.. was soo happy when i sold them and put standard seats in! made me love my car again!
