That was my routine when I used to go to the gym. Starting back on Monday after not going for about 6 months, not looking forward to it at all

I've done a 4 day routine for the past 3 years and made good progress but recently I've moved to a 3 day a week routine. It ensures a decent amount of recovery and I find I can push harder in my sessions.

Currently doing a Push/Pull/Legs split:

Mon: Chest/Shoulders/Tris
Wed: Back/Biceps
Fri: Legs

Simple but effective.

Was going to ask this myself, he's 1inch taller than me, and weighs nearly two stone more

I'm overweight atm, need to get back into the routine after 2 years of fooking injuries/problems

I'm 5 foot 7
34 inch waist
13 stone

Would love to have a 30 inch waist again, or even just a 32

I go with my Dad, whenever hes away I go alone and I agree you do feel a bit self concious but once you get going you realise that everyone else is just doing their thing too!

Let them look, big body builders don't bother a nimble little son of a gun like me, by the time he's swung his arm towards me, I've given him 3 on the chin and gone for a shower.

That's exactly my reasoning, always reluctant to go into the free weights room when im on my own, would much rather go in with a mate

Nah, just get yourself down their and lift some weights. You'll probably feel a sense of satisfaction when you leave too!

My only problem with training alone is I don't rest enough between sets as I'm not waiting for others to finish!

Yeah i agree, whenever i have finally gone into the weights room, i tend to do my sets quickly and out, also add that to i only really know how to train biceps/triceps and shoulders because i haven't been with a few of my gym addict mates who know everything very well
