No major plans really Sean. Get myself a single V alternator set up, take it to get the exhaust trimmed slightly and fitted properly, take it to a rolling road to see how it's running, polish it again, back to black the plastics and start enjoying it.
I like the subtle look it has at the moment but at the most I will fit some Irmscher twin spokes.
It's first show will be the Total Vauxhall at Crail 1/4 mile event so hopefully I will embarrass a few people there.

Rolled the Corsa out of the garage with the intention of polishing it again. Never actually got round to it as I fitted the Cav rear ARB, my new hose that goes from the bottom of the header tank to the engine and then this
Went through to Halfords again for some coolant. On the way back I decided to take some pics.
Next up will be getting a flexi cut into the exhaust system and the new back box trimmed and fitted properly.

Cheers Sean. I will be giving it another going over with G3, polish and Wax as it's not properly red yet. The pics look better than it actually is.
Only other exterior plans are Mk4 Astra side repeaters, new standard arches then refit the new versions of the standard badges I have.

Two gallons of GM Anti Freeze and four gallons of 10/40 bought from Vauxhall for future.
To do list for Crail.
Wire in 10" fans
Fit new speedo cable
Re-fit heater matrix ducting
Siliconed mounts (maybe)
Book in for flexi and sorting the backbox
Think that's it.

Fans are in, heater matrix ducting is done, flexi and backbox sorted, speedo cable is in however it must be the speedo drive that's goosed.
Clocks are OK and the speedo cable is new. Tried to get the drive out today and failed. It wouldn't budge. lmao
Went to the scrappy instead and spent a tenner.
As new sport steel with a no name tyre on it
3 Corsa bonnet stays for refurbing
An Astra mk4 Horn as I'm not keen on my aftermarket one
Calibra Oil and volt guages
Calibra heated seat switches
Tidied the garage out and put up my flag too......

It was the Vauxhall day at Crail on Sunday. Did 8 runs down the quarter and will be going back on a quieter day to see if I can improve my times by killing some 15" 195 wide tyres I have here.
I'm going to have to take a look at the linkage at some point. It's not as easy to get into 2nd and 4th as it is all other gears sometimes.
The results
Reaction || 60ft || 1/4 mile time
0.663 2.468 16.165 @ 84.9 mph
0.61 2.505 16.348 @ 85.6 mph
0.626 2.51 16.296 @ 85.2 mph
0.734 2.652 16.648 @ 85.7 mph
0.672 2.459 16.161 @ 86.5 mph
0.804 2.478 16.46 @ 84.7 mph
0.68 2.522 16.43 @ 85.9 mph
0.938 2.641 16.237 @ 87 mph

Well, the 1100 mile round trip do Billing went without incident. The only slight thing was that the engine got a little warm waiting in the queue for the gate upn arrival at the Aquadrome. Think I may need a new fan switch.
A couple of Billing pics.
The hard work getting it red again
At billing
And one with a wee pose for the ladies!

Fitted the GTE alloys this weekend. They need a refurb so I'm going to give them a wee rub down and paint over the winter.
I think I will keep them silver but I'm undecided whether to keep the caps plain or detail the griffin in red.

Fixed the speedo drive on Saturday then gave up putting it back together as a) the rear mount wouldnt line up for me to put the bolt through and b) it started pissing rain.
Finally got an evening where it wasn't pissing down so with Ivan levering and me tapping the bolt the mount is now lined up and all is back together.
Took it out a run to test the speedo. It works but over reads by a wee bit compared to shatnav. Guess that's normal though.
Changed back to steel wheels again as I'm going to refurb the GTE alloys.

Followed you on Friday along the Chapel o' Garioch road on Friday night. Looked at it and thought fuck me that's clean for L reg! Just read your project that day aswell otherwise it wouldn't have clicked it was yours!
I was following in a blue EJ9 Civic.
Looks clean and pulled out towards the Oyne fork pretty well!

Oh yeah, I did spot the Civic behind me.
I used quite a bit of fuel on Friday. Seems I was on a mission getting to and from work
It's certainly a nice change to have a bit of response under my right foot compated to the Focus diesel company car

Corsa MOT - Passed. 2 advisories - "Slightly corroded rear brake pipes"
Corsa Tax - Bought (grudgingly)
Corsa coilivers - Removed. XE poundage springs and Bilstein shocks fitted.
Just need some dry weather to go out and give it a shakedown pre Crail. The front tyres dont seem to like wet roads so it spings quite a bit.
Had a 50p / 5p moment though on the way into work though…….
MOT was booked into a place just across from work.
About 15 minutes from work I'm about 1000yds from a roundabout at about 80ish I noticed that the traffic fuzz were behind me. I pulled into the slow lane and backed off a bit.
They stayed in the fast lane and were right beside me at the roundabout. They went right round the roundabout and headed back the other way.!
Bearing in mind that I had no MOT, no tax and that I was over the speed limit for a bit while they were behind me I’d say that was pretty darn lucky lol

Bit more work done last night. Will add pics later on.
I installed a secondary fan last year as a backup / piece of mind when the car is being used on the quarter mile. It had stopped working for some reason. Turns out that the inline fuse that we added had snapped at the spades (if you know what I mean) and the relay was faulty. Changed both of those and it works again. I also made up a plastic bracket for the relay and mounted it neatly to the bulkhead behind the battery.
While the bumper and crash bar were off I changed the driver side headlight with one from a scrappy as I noticed that the glass was starting to seperate from the unit itself. Might turn the old headlight unit into some form of cold air feed or I might just leave it sitting in the garage along with great intentions.
Also changed the temp sensor with a new one.
Tonights task will be changing the wiper linkage and possibly stripping down a few engine ancilarys ready to lower the engine from it's mounts and beat the chassis leg with a hammer. Damn alternator pully

Despite some last minute issues and also some broken and blown fuses on the day I had a cracking time at Crail today. Eventually managed to get the Corsa down to a 15.815 second quarter too.
At 6am, just away to leave
About 5 miles from home
At Crail with the sport steels on.
Excuse the **** pics. I was way too busy either staying warm or on the strip.
My wins (sorry Rick) :lmao:
