Good to hear its making progress mate It might be worth putting a fuel pressure guage on it. Its probably a long shot but if the pump cant keep up a constant supply of fuel at the right pressure then it would explain the cutting out after 3 minutes

Well the guy has been tweaking with the regulator and its either set too high and over fuelling or setting it lower makes it under fuel :s

Far as i'm aware it can't run on the standard as the vectra won't be adequate for this application.

They want to wait now until tuesday so their "mate" can get another more expensive PC in to diagnose the problem.

Think i'm going to phone theAA and get it taken to my local ex-vaux garage now im f*****g pissed off now

Im pretty sure it will run on the standard sport one. What have you got to lose by trying it? To be fair they probably have your car sat in the corner and dont bother with it and just keep mugging you off. Id get up there ask how much you owe them, play fuck and the take the car.

Well i spent all today locating a pump for it.

The sport one (in mine) was lacking approx a bar in fuel pressure in the system so i needed to uprate it.

I tried finding a vectra 2.2 but all i could find was the LPG converted ones so i didn't want to risk it so I managed to find the XE1 pump so have given it to the contact and they'll be trying it tomorrow now (this was at 19:30) so it could be that my 1.4 was just generally old as it's covered 113K at least in mileage so.

Fingers crossed it'll be plopped in tomoz and fully running!
