Yes but you will have to Mot, tax, insure it etc, not worth it.

I would just learn on their bike (if you drop it etc its not your problem), get your license and then get what you want.

By that i mean the sv is good for doing your manvoures on and general commuting style riding/learning, but if you wanted a sports bike, you will not want to do your test on it as they have the turning circle of a Bardge.

£115 fully comp on my CBR600 before I let my NCB lapse.. My DRZ is £104 TPFT with 1 years NCB.

£240 fully comp on my Ducati 748

Anyway, i'd go for an RS125. i had one and loved it for the short time that i had it. If you get a good one to start with and look after it and use premium quality oil you should be fine. Yeah they are more involved in riding and looking after, but they are worth it! Two stroke's rock my world!

Well im 19 and my bikes an import, not kept in locked garage, and has no security features and is still £250....

(will be more due to monthly payments though)

I did have 2 years no claims way back in the day...will they be void now? It was on a scooter with Bennets.
