no i got my 1.8t for 5400 in november with 50k and its a 53 plate. get a 1.8t then a map alone will see 200ish bhp but i think standard 150 will be more than enough for you at first.

depends what you really want, cheap to run and insure, fun, fast, good handling, comfortable, good looking? you can get a lot of good cars with 5gs

fast and running costs dont really go together. how big a car do you want, not fancy something bigger than a corsa?

Not sure i sat in a corsa C sri the other day and that felt alot bigger compared to my B.
I have been considering the astra mk5 too but when i get up close for a look they look massive tbh.
I don't really need a big car.

Too many have this thought, and personally I think its bollocks, if I had a choice I'd go for a diesel, my first car was a diesel, and yes I didn't do much mileage in it, but it was pretty nippy, economical and just love how a diesel drives, plus good gains to be had from simple mods... It's a no brainer, I read somewhere that someone got 300bhp out of a 1.5td which is stock 67bhp? And thats not even a modern diesel. , in fact a week after having my 1.4, I thought, I wished I'd gone for a diesel again.
