£3 don't get you much up there unless you've got a restaurant in your building, thats about McDonalds level

PS, I try to adopt the same, buy some bread, some ham etc, then make the sarnies at work. Saves you SO much money instead of just buying lunch.

37p 1ft long bagettes with x6 slices of thick ham ftw

I think its cause I've been here 5 years daimo, I get paid loads and paid travel and stuff but that doesnt mean job satisfaction. Appraisal will be interesting

You'd be suprised what you can get for 3 quid if you pay attention

Bacon & Brie Baguette made for me at the sandwich shop - £2.65

I keep trying to do the making my own lunch thing and its ridiculous how much money you save. But then I forget to do it or dont have enough time and I end up back in the sandwich shop

5 years is plenty in teh same IT job.

Least you can move forwards, and earn more.

Tell you what, wanna swap jobs for a bit? You come have the relaxed life, i'll come and deal with the city bustle again. U'll have to beef me up on Bloomberg again though Been quite a while since I used one of those terminals?

Still have a display screen that looks like its from the 80's?

Hmmm I do alot less then you probably think I do, all I have to do is monitor the layer 3 aspect of things, routing and switching, I dont have to touch BB/reuters terminals, just make sure the networks all talk to each other so they display prices

yeh 5 years is plenty, starting to become very obvious
