I haven't changed in the slightest if anything your opinion of me as changed because of the car I drive... I was told by several people including yourself that a redtop would beat mine etc etc... I'm just doing the maths sir...

Exact scenario happened with me when i raced an Astra Gsi turbo at crail.

Pulled a good few lengths on him off the line,he reeled me in and passed me about 2 cars lengths from the finish line.I dont think his was standard tho tbh.Deffo had an exhaust system and D/V.Was sporting a pillar mount with a few gauges and a CourtneySport sticker.

That was in my XE Corsa with Ashley manifold and 2.25" system and full road trim.

my standard xe was faster than martin c standard astra gsi turbo at crail. Think we had 3 races in a row.

IMO they are not "fast" but they are quick and can hold their own on the open road where it matters.

depends win builds them and how they are done to how reliable they are. Most of the problems would happen in the car the engine came from just due to them being an old tired engine. Thats not conversion related.
