Rooney is passionate, and tries so hard, he would merit it based on that alone, but would Rooney recognise if a team mate was in need of an arm round his shoulder and a few words of advice?
Eg of scenario:
SWP has just picked up a yellow card for a silly tackle that was needless, in the next five minutes he does a few short passes and fluffs a clear chance on goal, could you really see Rooney nipping that in the bud early doors? Or do you think he would concentrate on his own game too much to notice?

My mate has just raised a good point, John Terry's shannanigans have affected a fellow squad member, whereas Rio, Stevie G and a few of the other players haven't done anything to cause a split in the camp itself.

That was my point on the first page - what he has done is involving a fellow player, former club mate, and an international team member.
I fully expect Bridge has friends within the squad who prefer him to Terry, and there is certainly going to be some split there.

It's a bit hard to tell who'd be on who's side, I think Becks and the likes of James and mature team mates would back Bridge because of the moral side, but I know Rio is Terry's mate and Ashley Cole is deffo going to bum Terry as will Lamparse and Joe Cole.
