higher res is always better to a degree but there are other things i would rather they sorted

Its one of those things. I already think the touch/3gs screen looks great. More is always better, but I wouldn't be wanting to fork out extra just for that.....

The Streak is being marketed as a tablet and saying it's HD would imply something that it isnt.

Its being marketed as a phone not a tablet its a big deal to them, they have said it in every video. It is HD, HD stands for high definition, which it is.

I agree with the HD thing, should be at least 1360x720 to be called HD, that goes for any manufacturer.

Yes but don't you think it should be relative the overall screen size?
For example, the Panasonic 105" plasma screen's are great to look at in terms of the way they tower over you... but the picture is only 1080p... compared to a 42" or 50" screen, the resolution is acutally shit.
