oooh i just looked on the vulcan to the sky website and its provisionaly booked to come to eastbourne on the 12th and 13th aug for airbourne 1st yr in ages something decent is possibly coming

Got tickets booked for Farnborough with the family, not sure which day to head down on though although i'm guessing sunday will be a little quieter? Also does anyone know how far the carparks are from the main event (haven't been since 2000 or so and can't remember)?

Weather is looking reasonable/good for both Saturday and Sunday.
We've booked a hotel pretty locally for Saturday night so after going to the airshow on Saturday we'll be staying there so hopefully i can persuade the GF to go to the airshow again Sunday if its good

The company I work for lease the storage warehouse to the Vulcan boys. The black 4 x 4 they drive is stored at our unit next door to my factory. Most dinners I chat to the engineers, i'll find some pics on my phone.

I went to farnborough today, the views on the hill are fantastic and the planes get so much closer than they do to the crowd within the grounds. Cant complain for a free day out. Highlight had to be my first sight of the vulcan in the air, but ive never been that close to the BBMF before and you cant beat the sound of those engines!

i've been working at the past 10 RIATs (Royal International Air Tattoo) and must admit this years was a good 'un!
lots of different displays, A400M, the F22 two aircraft which are quite different to others on the display program!
i got bored of all by Saturday though! i am there a week either side of teh show weekend and see (and hear) it all from Wednesday onward! then on Monday when they all leave!!
