Been mooching about today.

Fallen in love with the Audi A4 2.0 TDI S-Line.

Its fucking stunning.

Merc just isn't "me".

Tiguan isn't plush enough and boot is too small. And the VW stealers were cocks.

Going back tomorrow PM to let the missus test drive one ( because I can't atm due to broken hand) and talk figures.

Nearly had an accident in my pants over the R8 V10 they had in the showroom tho.

Looking at something like this....probs not red though...

I've driven 3 A4 S-lines in Saloon and Avant versions with the 143 and 170 engines.

They are good cruising every day cars. Only thing I found was that once you start to ring their neck and throw them around they aren't that sharp, they don't really come alive but day to day normal driving they are perfect for. The interior is a really really nice place to be.

Yeah...sounds okay tbh. Not expecting to be able to chuck it around like the VXR.

Just got to work out tomorrow if I can afford a Part Ex deal or if I need to sell the VXR privately.

That's alright then, just didn't want you think you'd be able to hoon around it like you probably can in a VXR. I'd have one if I had a family and needed the extra space.

A4's are top quality motors. That's where I'd be looking too.

Right....colours...

Does white look nice on this car? Also, is white going to go out of fashion soon?

http://usedcars.audi.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=601116974

Lava Grey...very dark, nearly black.....I quite like it.

http://usedcars.audi.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=601042004

Quartz Grey....

http://usedcars.audi.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=601068282

Phantom Black

http://usedcars.audi.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=601059060

Misano Red (Metallic)

http://usedcars.audi.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=600911985

I need to have a selection of maybe three colours to go for.

Which three?

My only concern is, in say 3 years time, will white still be cool. If its not, obviously resale value could be affected.

I do like the white though!!

Don't get Lava Grey, it just looks like a dirty black.

Out of your list it'd be either Ibis or Misano. But not on your list & what I'd go for is Monza Silver pearlescent. I think Misano and Monza are S-line only colours too so you won't see them on non S-line A4's.

Misano is a pearlescent too BTW.

Yeah I agree tbh.

Didn't do a deal yesterday. One perfect car had gone. And another was over budget and he didn't seem to be able to squeeze the figures enough. Got to call the dealer this am to see if he can do anything extra on my car part ex to hopefully get the figures closer.

Basically couldn't get the spec I wanted in the colour I wanted for the right price. I was being quite picky on colours.

I do love the white, but not many about in the spec I want.

Might have to go for silver.

143. Thers sod all 170's around anyway and tbh the 143 goes well enough.
