Jol apparently flying to the NE today and will be named Newcastle manager by Friday
This is the same rumour I've been hearing all day, to be announced Friday and unveiled at St James' before Liverpool match on Saturday

I've heard that Pardew, Curbishly and Jol are all being interviewed/talked to. From them 3, let's just hope it is Jol.

As much as I fancy Tommy and Morning Joe, I have to say, if they have sacked Hughton to bring in Pardew they deserve another trip to the Championship.

Was on foreign goal.com about him not leaving Ajax to join another club and the Newcastle job was a definite no no. But it's all hearsay until something is officially announced. Most worrying is Pardew being odds on... just no

Wtf is he going to bring to the table that hughton couldn't?
It has to be the worst sacking in a very long time. He stabilized the ship, got us promoted, got team moral back, the players loved him, the fans loved him and he gets this? Just shows being a nice guy gets you know where.
And for the first time the fans haven't been calling for the managers head!
7 managers in 6 years or the other way round I can't remember is beyond a joke.
I am hoping Cuntley has sold the club behind closed doors so he can fuck off.
We're 5/1 to get relegated - Get on it if Pardew gets in.

Where Hughton took a Premiership club back to the Premiership at the first attempt then settled in mid table Pardew took 2 bites at the cherry and eventually got promoted via the play offs before residing over the worst set of results in over 70 years.
If the rumours are true it's either complete lunacy or Pardew has mates in high places.

Exactly my thoughts. I can't believe Hughton would be sacked for Pardew, but i wouldn't put anything past the fat cockney bastard.

This article says everything we need to know if Pardew is put in charge of us. It's grim reading.

I never realised you went unbeaten last season
Surely that negates any poor home form this season? Particularly considering you're still mid table with a net spend in the black?

Unbeaten at home last season. In total we lost 4 games all season out of 46
It's ridiculous. I think we spent £3mil in the summer on one player, Tiote and that was it. We got a couple of loan deals and free's, of which Ben Arfa was out after 3 games, Gosling is out till after xmas, sol has only started the last 2 PL games so effectively it's the exact same team playing last season. We're mid table and had a bad few games but then we have been without Williamson, Coloccini, Barton due to suspension and injury and nolan due to injury.
I'm still full of rage right now

Hammer has nailed ( ) it again. Fucking cunt that Ashley is, surely must be a Sunderland fan in disguise. Even saw Newcastle fans writing on the BBC Sport page that they now want Newcastle to get relegated
Fucking Pardew

I predict riots at St James' Park on Saturday if Pardew gets the Job.
Ashley really hasn't a clue if he thinks Pardew is the answer, the fans will hate him from the off and he will be given zero chance. Only MON of Jol would be given any sort of respect from the fans after the disgraceful treatment of Hughton in my opinion.

But it's not as if they had a chance winning the CL, they haven't qualified out of the group stages. But I can see your point.
I think Jol wants to managing in the PL. If def won't be Newcastle though.
You're right Moe, there is going to be riot. I wouldn't be surprised to see a half empty stadium which part of me agrees with but it's not fair on the players, they've done nothing wrong.
If Pardew walks out on to the pitch on saturday it certainly won't be a warm reception.
