Right, to strip or not to strip out the interior? Round some Frod recaro seats just up the road from me...

I need some opinions and views on this really...

Ideally, I'd love a nice leather trimmed, all black interior BUT that isn't going to happen because it just isn't worth the money.

So, I'm thinking, strip it out, in a big way! I always wanted to cut the dash down and make it a bit of a stripped out slag as a second car so as it owes me fuck all I'mthinking why not.

Ultimately I'd like to get a 1.8 or 2.0 in there, get it lowered (which is on the way) and with some 2.0 brakes - by PVS

Also, my interior is pretty ming, stained, dirty and GREY!

So, plans would be:

- Plastics and carpet out
- Rear seats out
- Two ford recaro front seats (cheap and cheerful and I don't want buckets and harnesses!)
then maybe cut the dash down to just to the left of the steering wheel. I'd wire the heater box up in a funky way so I can touch a button and get heat out on the screen and turn the rear screen heater on using a heated rear screen button from a calibra/cavvy above the fog light button.

All in the name of fun

Sell this one for a profit, buy one with less doors if you're goign down the stripping & conversion root imo.

Can't be arsed in all honesty Alex, nothing wrong with the more door IMO? I know this one is solid under the arches and such so what's the point!

LiVe_RiCh sent me a love note and some rev counter clocks, need to undo the speedo cable at the gearbox to get the clocks out though. Nearly mashed my hand up trying to do it earlier!

No need to actually Unscrew the cable from the gearbox end? Just push it through the bulkhead to get a bit of pull on the speedo before getting your hand up there and disconnecting it

Just reach down behind the clocks and squeeze the end of it to release it.

You'll need an old dash connector to nick the extra pin from.

i've always wanted to strip mine out as when i was swapping the interior i left the rear seats out over night and drove to work the car felt a lot nippier and i couldnt understand why, then i realised it was because it was lighter

my girlfriend and daughter wouldnt be too pleased tho lol
