your theory is rediculous mate on mileage........ are you one of those guys like my mrs dad who has to have the NEW REG regardless of whther you actually like the car or not

If you can afford a high mileage m3 for £10K you can afford something newer with less miles. But that's not my point, like John says, some people it bothers and some it doesnt.

I've never owned a car newer than 3 years old, my last being a Clio 182 55 plate with 11,000 miles. I suppose the rationale behind prefering newer, lower mileage cars is that there is less chance of it having been abused as opposed to a 9 years old car that's had 5,6,7 owners. It's all well and good saying just get one thats been looked after, but when it's had 4 owners you can never really be sure.

I wouldn't buy a car with 80k+ miles( infact I wouldn't buy one with 40k+ miles) as it would mean one of two things, its high mileage or its old.

What a stupid comment.

I bought my Astra Vxr on an 06 plate with 32k miles and in 6 months it had £3200 worth of REPAIRS done to it. So that was regarded as low mileage.

I sold my old 1998 106 gti with exactly 100,000 miles on the clock and in the year I had it I NEVER had to replace a single faulty part.
