Although the early ones didn't actually get the airbox unless you paid extra
Smaller pulley, different supercharger and head, full exhaust system, bigger injectors and map are the main bits. 200bhp, so 35bhp extra from a standard Cooper S. Then in 2004 when BMW shut JC down and did it all in house they were 210 which I think was just down to the airbox! (enclosed cone and flappy thing)

So can you tune up a Cooper-S? Obviously a map and smaller pulley are quite easy?

The guy that had that has got a Red JCW now with all the chrome details wrapped or painted black. It looks mint. He did the photoshop for me of my headlights with black surrounds. He's done one with them red too but they look naff.

Oh yeh easily. 15% pulley, Dave-F airbox (that one I was fitting at Tom's before) would be a good start, Janspeed manifold, exhaust of some sort, newman cam, bigger intercooler, different injectors, map are all possible
Standard head is good for 250bhp - that's pretty much my aim if I keep the car for long enough!

Nice one Peroni
Did you get it from Batemans? They're a bunch of cunts
My R53 had 16% pulley, GP intercooler, full Milltek, Decat, remap and coilovers.
My brother now owns it and has just got some newman cams installed. Pops and bangs all over the place
Comfiest and most fun hot hatch owned
By the way, Coastal Racing is just next to me. They know their shit about all modern mini's. Give them a shout if you want any new stuff.

Nah I got it from Lloyds at Carlisle mate. Batemans don't do deals or discount so I stayed clear. But I'll probably take it there for servicing seen as though its on my door step.
I'll have a look at Coastal Racing but I'm going to try not to do anything to it!

Coming up to 3,000 miles now and the waterpump is squealing so it goes in to get a new one fitted next Monday. The one bit the French get involved with and funnily enough it goes wrong

My Mrs had to have a new waterpump after 4K miles on her Mini One which she had from new.
Like you say, typical French.

They let me in the workshop at BMW and the guy talked me through what he was doing on my car, it was quite interesting. Audi never let me anywhere near the workshop.
