It's 188BHP at the flywheel, not a massive amount, but it's still pretty quick, I'm very impressed with it.
Thanks.

The Hippy that had it before me, didn't put any Coolent in the water, and it froze when in the winter, and cracked the block, and heater matrix.
So I bought it cheap.

I had a cracking time, at Castle Combe on Saturday, I did three sessions in the end, by the 3rd one, I was really getting to grips with the car.
I broke my duck, and overtook loads of cars, which I've never really done before.
I've taken a few mm off the R1-r's.
As you can see, I've got way too much movement in my engine mounts.
I've ordered a set of Nova ones, it's only the front gearbox mount I can't use, which I'll fill.
The cam cover has also been rubbing on the inside of the bonnet, it must be moving loads under load.

Well I set about getting my air filter to fit with the trumpets on. So I had to cut a load of the bulkhead out.
The metal I removed.
Then next door said I had a parcel turn up. Which will be the mounts I ordered. I wish I had left them till next weekend, because I didn't expect them till next week.
They didn't have any bolts with them, so I could only fit the rear mount.
Once I got it bolted to the floor, and pissed about trying to get the long bolt, which wouldn't line up. Anyway I got it started, then set about giving it a tap with the hammer, to knock it home. But it went in wonky, and I didn't check. The mount ended up looking like this.
So I had to take the mount off Smokey's gearbox.
While it was in bits, I trimed down the nut on my linkage, which hit the steering rack sometimes.
Anyway after all the hassle it still jumps out of gear, when you lift off. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
These are the other mounts that came with it.
On a lighter note, I found these bad boys in a scrap yard.

Boader's in Ludgershal is a good one, a mate of mine got a C20LET, F28, and ECU. For £200.
Rayner's is also pretty good, near Wootton Bassett.

Being on call this week, I can't get much done, but I had a go at fitting my other engine mount that came in the kit.
Because of the bolt, it won't sit straight, so it looks pretty wonky.
I also took the rear gearbox bracket off today again, and made the slot longer in it, so it fits better. I didn't get any pictures.
I also realined the gear linkage, I still haven't driven it, but I'll have a go tomorrow morning.

Oh dear at the wonkeyness of that mount, won't last long like that, I'd space it out with some washer between the rubber mount and the mount on the engine at least to give it a chance.

The only way I can see to fix it is to elongate the holes in the top, so I can bring the rubber mount away from the chassie. Because it's the head of the bolt, behind it is stopping it from siting flat. Or threading the hole, so I can get screw it in like the normal mounts

Ah I get you, with my comp mounts I had to drill a hole for the screw head and assemble it off the car.

I also throught I could make a hole in the plate, which is mounted to the chassie.
Are the alloy ones threaded then?
I filmed this earlier.
