if you want to think it's about helping people out for nothing in return then thats your choice.

in a way at first I was happy about it, the UK flexxing their power without following in the shadow of the US, but now...everyone is involved, bit like =/
So long as civilian casualties are minimum and Gadaffi, the dictator, is removed, what's the problem?

The hundreds of millions of pounds it's going to cost, who will pay ffor it in the long run? look back at everything the government has sacrificed because we haven't got enough money.

I'm just saying if he's bitching about "it's all about oil", stfu then, because their people get liberated and we get oil.
If it's not, we're part of the UN, as are libya, someone's got to help them

No doubt there will be a deal as usual like "we'll help rebuild your country for oil" just like the last one "food for oil"

I'm opinionated, most people don't like it because it doesn't agree with theirs..but opinions are unique

Although a number of economists will tell you differently, history tells you that economies generally do well through times of war.
The Broken Window Fallacy appears to be a fallacy itself in practice.

France's defences are actually pretty strong. I was feeling quite proud that we made a mutual decision with them without the backing of america, although England made empty threats, France are the ones that acted on it.

How have you come to that conclusion Butler? because France struck 1st? our forces are on their way and are being readied, how is this an empty threat?
Also America are just as involved as the rest and have mobilized to Libya, don't forget these sanctions were rushed through less than 48 hours ago.
EDIT - I can see this quickly escalating to a point where our troops enter Libya soon with Cameron pretty much saying they need to remove Gadaffi.

Well statistically theyre they have the 6th strongest military in the world.
Because our forces are 'on their way' or 'being readied', its clear the ceasefire has been ignored. We should have attacked already going by our word.
America are involved now, but England respectably commited themselves first rather than follow them in as we traditionally do.
Personally my opinion on the matter is quite mutual, so im not going to confess to know everything about it or what the right thing to be doing is.
