cos its a bloody nonsense. should be for the best player of the year and bale is nowhere near it. im not sure out of those nominated who would get it though tbh, id probs go for adam or vidic in consistency terms and for what theyve doien for thier clubs.

nasri has been better than bale though ffs

Bit surprised/annoyed that Parker didn't make the team of the year.

Obviously he's in a shit team that's struggling, but he's the only reason they're not in the championship already.

The football writers player of the year should be more accurate of what us normals think i'd imagine.

Although saying that, it'll be Bale in all positions if the press have anything to do with it

Samir Nasri hasnt scored a goal since NYD in the EPl, (19/1 FA Cup), and before that he hadnt scored since the very start of December

Gareth Bale hasnt score a goal since NYD in the EPL

Leighton Baines has only scored 4 goals this season(League), not 7, but has 11 assists, 10 more than GB, and GC (4 more goals than GC too)

Leighton Baines has scored twice as many goals in April 2011 than GC has in his premiership career, the same as his entire career if you include his fa cup goal against UEFA Champions League winners Leyton Orient
