I've been working the late shift all week so not been on the forum but heres the latest photos (taken this morning......
I've still got the drivers side to polish up and hopefully the interior will be back in over the weekend, to free up some space in my workshop for the engine rebuild.

i think it'll be a pretty damn cool car
Class, from the badge that looks like an Alvis? Bloody beautiful cars and very well engineered. Simca very rare now but plenty about in France if you do get stuck for parts.

sorry for the lack of updates, I've been very busy with the (bloody) simca
right here we go.......
brakes.....all the brake pipes were replaced, then when bleeding them, the wheel cylinders leaked, so new cylinders fitted, new shoes fitted, started to bleed them again and hey presto........the seals went in the master cylinder
so new master cylinder bought and fitted and everything brake wise is spot on.
engine ......now in and running perfect, but still a few bits to finish off.
I've now, today, started on the wheel arch extensions in fibre glass...benefits of working in a fibre glass factory
so this is how she looked up until today........
also bought these, but need to make a manifold to fit them.....which I'll be doing after the car is back on the road.....
I'll get some photos of my new wheel arches posted up tommorow night

This is an unreal thread. I love the car.. why didnt you make arches before you painted it

yes tom sprayed on the drive.....not perfect but not too bad after a wet sand with 1200 wet and dry then polished back with g3 compound.
biggest problem painting outside are insects landing on it, but its cellulose paint and dries fairly rapid.

ah its a secret john
go on then, I'll tell you.....the arches are going to be a different colour......I'm thinking yellow.
the car is cadbury purple so a cadbury's caramel chocolate bar wrapper springs to mind
I'm toying with the idea of some wide side skirts to match the arches too
