i just dont see the big deal about an led when you have to take your phone out to check the led anyway?

Lying on a desk or something, I use mine all day every day, don't see it going in work on silent so I'd have to press it every 2 minutes to check if I'd missed something otherwise.

Mine is always on my desk at work too John. Thats really where it would be handy for me. Can guarantee every time I pick it up to check it my boss will walk past

Fair enough, but still, just press the bloody screen every time you wanna check if you've missed something
My phone flashes when i've got something happening, but I usually completely forget and unlock the screen anyway before seeing that it's flashing.
(I take it this will be 1 of the the 3 completely new features on the new model btw?)

Obviously if they have one it'll be the first time any phone has had it.

My phone stays in its dock on my desk at work, when I get back from meetings etc I always press the home/sleep button to check if i've missed anything, would be quite handy.
I can already see the Chinese screens on ebay with an LED that will retrofit and iPhone 4.

Fucking LED
I've never had a phone with an LED and ive never felt the need to have one. Especially like the old samsungs that flashed constantly just to let you know I was on!
All the 5 needs for me is a bigger screen. And a new case.
A lift on YouTube restrictions would be nice in general too.

I'd love having an LED on my iPhone Fucking loved it on my Desire My hands aren't always clean at work and instead of getting my phone dirty to see if I've had a text, an LED would let me know and I could wipe my hands before reading it

LED on my N900 is brilliant. I know when my phone is charging, when it's fully charged, when I have an e-mail and when I have a text or missed call all with different colours/flashing intervals.

I have had LEDs on all my blackberries and it's a fantastic feature. I have different colour notifications for Mrs Jambo and my best mate so I know when they have txt by just glancing at the table/across the room

If you mean being able to look at Flash based content, not sure that's ever gonna happen with the Apple vs Adobe flame wars still ongoing!

No Sam, YouTube on the iPhone, iPad, apple tv, iPod is all restricted. You cant view a lot of music videos as apple think you'll listen to them for free instead of buying the music from them.
Flash would also be nice. That's an epic fail by apple atm

Really? I wasn't aware of that, I thought it was just because the videos on YouTube weren't converted to HTML5 video format.
That's quite shit, but TBH I very rarely look at videos on my iPhone so it doesn't bother me so much.
There was one music video I couldn't find on YouTube on my iPhone once (which I thought was due to the reason I mentioned above) but I found it on Vimeo instead.
