The first decent one with less than 120k miles is about 7k.

You appear to have linked a car 400 miles away from where I live?
what does where you live in the UK have to do with how much a car is worth
even more crucially how does where you live have anything to do with where joe lives and how much he sells his car for

The point is in the first post tbh. There are none within 100 miles of Glasgow. So the area is crucial for the price. If you had a choice of 50 in your area, the price would be reflected. If there was one in your area.....?

Just had a service, cambelt and water pump, clutch + dual mass flywheel, haldex oil + filter, rear diff oil, gearbox oil, 4 tyres, brand new mot. It's right for a long time now.
How would you price that John d off corsasport?
id probably put it on for £5500 and hope for £5000 to be honest
We've established he doesn't care what you would do.
I'd be sticking it on AT for £6.5k and be hoping for close to that.
rofl he asked me what how i would price it... you would have a car sitting for months losing more value

But that's you... Not everyone will travel. Infact, not everyone would actually search high and low to get an exact price of what it's worth. I know people who have just went out and bought a car on a wim because it's close and it's what they want.

He was winding you up. Do you genuinely believe he wanted your input?

What are you talking about? I said there were no decent S3's in my area, someone posted a car not in my area. The end. Go back to webcamming 14 year olds on MSN.

Joe why are you in on a Friday night? You should be pumping tarts in the back of your 4k S3.

in a thread asking about opinions on selling his car.... yes i do..
i find it ironic that he isnt the one moaning when a realistic price is presented...
a lot of people would travel 400 miles to save 2k... fact
if the are worth 6-7.5k why havent these cheaper ones weve posted been snapped right up?

The key factor is, a lot. Thing is, I'm not moaning about the price at all I'm debating the posts that have been made.

I can't decide if you are a troll, don't like being proved wrong or just a fucking moron.
What I appear to have linked is a car very similar to Joes in age, condition, colour and mileage. Surely that's more an indicator of used car value than where it is for sale? Unless Joe decides to advertise it solely in Scotland what relevance does the fact there are none close to you for that price have?

I reckon john d wants to buy it. Hence trying to make Joe put it up for £5k. All makes sense now.
