I'm serious, it angers me that home design doesn't take AV into consideration

Bit of a noob to all this,

Always had the sony/samsung surround sound sets.

I'd like to get some nice floor standing speakers etc.

would I be able to use an existing home theatre blueray/dvd player?

for example this?

Not the best pic but all I have on my phone. Recently renewed joists and floor so took oppertunity to run speaker and LAN cables.

Anybody got anything new to add to this?

Want to do something different to our current setup when we move in a few weeks, but fairly undecided.

Definitely want a wall mounted cabinet for the equipment. Been eyeing a few fabric-fronted solutions that I think look pretty cool. Most are pretty expensive though.

I moved my setup to a new house but it looks exactly the same. Had to go to much greater lengths to hide the cables this time though.

Just realised I never posted mine post fireplace removal.

Bad photo

Receiver is on the blink so not in use currently. Volume keeps dropping even though I'm not working it hard. New speakers on the back burner till that's sorted now
