And you'd make a car choice based on that Not how it drives, how it copes with your family, how much room in the back ( ), the toys it has and how much it costs/costs to run?

Yep. Plus the fact that i'm not that keen on Octavia's generally.
The Mondeo is meant to be a good car but I don't like those either, or the Honda Accord.

Actually going to test one now. Drove the Insignia and although its okay, it lacks that quality "feel" that the Audi has. I'm thinking the Octavia might be better?
But strugglinmg to find any nearly new with Bluetooth which is a must have for me.

That's why I suggested the Skoda, you still get that solid well put together feel.
White with black wheels for the ultimate taxi look?!

I was actually looking at the Candy White with black wheels and grill. Its a Spec. Ed called Blackline
Hadn't thought it completes the taxi look.
White, dark grey or Blue.
The blue reminds me a bit of Arden blue.

Got a new one priced up today.
Theres no more factory orders now as the Octavia is being replaced by the Rapide for while until the new Octavia comes out back end of 2013.
Theres only 12 brand new ones left in theh country. Saw them on the database today.
Got a price I like on a blue one, with Auto/DSG, heated seats, bluetooth, rear parking, alcantara interior (black not grey), DA radio and Nav.
Driving one Thurs and if I like it i'll probs do a deal. Offering me alot more for my Audi too.

Octavia is underated imo, although the new Rapide is lacking massively. Feels like a 3yr old Polo.
Congrats on the VRs though, really good car. I had one for 2 months as a company car and enjoyed it.

I was suprised on the test drive yesterday. I wasn't expecting it to compare to the A4, and it isn't quite there obviously, but it was really nice to drive, and felt solid, has the VAG feel to it. It felt quick too, being a 170 as opposed to my 143.
And tbh for the money I can't wrong. Got a big discount on brand new due to it being phased out. As said theres literally only 6 new DSG's left on the books now.
The tax on my A4 runs out at end of month too, and the dealership want to get my car handed over befor month end to help with Nov targets, but they've said if they can't, they'll lend me a car once my tax runs out. Pretty good I thought.

Opinion needed.
I'm sacrificing DAB radio and SD reader with the spec i'm getting.
Theres a Skoda option, thats a Kenwood system, which is VAG approved (and is in their accessories catalogue). I wasn't keen at first as I thought it looked a bit chav/aftermarket, but it would give me SD/DAB/Nav/Ipod/Bluetooth. Bluetooth which i've specc'd anyway but it could be cancelled.
Bluetooth is £335.
This head unit is £995
http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/products/car/vw/DNX521DAB/
It would work with the steering wheel control etc and the heated seats/rear parking/CC would all interact with it.
Also the lighting can be turned to green to match everything else too.
What do you reckon?

I'd get it. Looks standard fit stuff, I guess it kind of is though! I don't think it looks chav. It looks like the VW radio.
