Everything except servicing I would think. Not sure what the intervals will be for that. I'd guess a run in check then an oil service 12 months later only?
Tax is included.
Not sure what else........you get a car spec'd with DCT, 19's, media centre & heated seats.

Not sure what they will be making off that, new 3 series due out although the M car wont be here til 2013. Must have plenty sat un-sold they need to move along. Not a large market for a 4L V8 nowdays, one of the reasons the new one will be turbocharged!!

The deal seems worth while, but do you want to spend that much a month on a car, and dont you works away alot? so the car would be sat around alot?

Is it just a standard spec or can you specify any extras? Can you opt out early?

I think a nice lotus exige, bought outright, cared for by specialists, will be better to have sat in the garage, also doubt it would cost £550 a month

I don't see cars as an investment or a 'clever purchase', I see them as an expenditure and an enjoyable experience - like a Holiday abroad or whatever.
My only concern would be not being able to play around with it, having something which I have to give back would probably stop me from doing those little modifications which make the car slightly different. If you're really confident that you wont' get bored of not being able to tinker with it - then go for it, doubling the monthly payments for a hire purchase scheme on a brand new one and dealing with similar loss in depreciation does not sound sensible.

aye, but thats not really expensive. 10-14k, summer use, low ins cost, decent mpg etc etc
My mum had the nice cars (M roadster, MR2 etc)... but they used finance.
All i'm saying is I dont see the problem with finance.
We are about 600 per month for the RRS, but we owe less than the car is worth so it doesnt phase me.
If it was a brand new car with a personal loan and the car had lost more than loan had decreased there would be a problem.
Short term, high monthly payments.
IF you want a new car leasing is a good option.
Eck - I meant a nearly new car for <10k (1year old to new) isnt going to be a top of the line car.

Get the service pack that comes with it for a bit extra
Deals are good as the new one is on its way next year but that wouldn't stop me

Normally spec what you want a price will increase accordingly.
On a pcp you can opt out at anytime but you may find in the first year it's not in your favour
The pcp on the Vxr worked out I paid 2k over 2 years to own the car?
With the m3 you are never going to make money and it will cost you a fair Bit to own but they are circa 55k
Most new cars on the road are either company cars or leased/pcp

Would you modify a 55k car in a way that you couldn't return it back to standard before selling or giving back?

I think leasing is good for expensive cars and anything that depreciates a lot.
It wouldn't be good on VW Tiguans that loose 3k over 3years though (cost price of around 20k)

see at the end of the day, it is his money! If I had the money spare a month (plus abit more for running costs and the likes) I would get one. Cars are not investments as had been said.
Get it if you want mate, alot of car for the money

I dont think you understand leasing in great detail?
Ultimately, and scheme depedant - in a leased arrangement you pay for the depreciation, finance margin, mainteanane if applicable etc.
If a tiguan lost 3k over 3 years - which I can assure you it will probably lose nearer 55% of its value (trade) dependant on mileage.

Would the lease quote not be adjusted for depreciation on that particular car?
Not sure Tiguans are well known for solid residuals?
