I loved Addict and Marching Powder and am about to buy Shantaram.

Does anyone know of any other books that are similar to those 3? So basically books that are fucked up crazy true stories?

Just read James cordons auto it was alright nothing special.
Currently reading interview with a vampire by Anne rice, really good book and I plan on reading the whole series.

Finshed all 3 Hunger Games books. 2nd not as good as the first and 3 was pretty good.

On with The Girl Who Played With Fire now.

The Girl Who Played With Fire - 9/10

Equally as good as the first book and easier to read, more than likely because everything has been set up from the first book. Need to catch the film.

Started The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest too, although I have read it is no where near as good as the first two.

Some one told me that the author died without ever completely finishing the trilogy. The first book was done, the second book was almost done and the third book was roughly drafted.

Apparently his brother, who has no writing skills at all, then finished the last two, which explains the level of mediocrity that finds it's way in to the series, especially in the last book.

Beautiful Creatures - 5/10

Very Twilight-ish story about young witch and her mortal lover. Thought it would have been more "adult" than it was.
Read it if you like teenage romance with a twist of magic.

Horns - 9/10

Superb and very peculiar book. Fast paced and very engaging.
Guy wakes up with a hangover and... horns. No one seems to notice them, but he finds they give him a wicked influence on other people.
Read it if you like crime novels and want something out of the ordinary.

Ender's Game - 8/10

Very enjoyable read. In the future kids are genetically enhanced and, if deemed worthy, sent to battle school in outer space.
Read it if you like The Hunger Games.

Not sure what to go for next. There's 14 more books in the Ender Saga, which seems a bit overwhelming. Have considered A Song of Ice and Fire, but I don't really want to spoil anything coming in the show...

Just on book 24 'betrayer' of the Horus Heresy, Amazing series!

Read the first 4 Harry potters too ( taken a break as betrayer was released) but they are very very good don't let the films put you off!!

Just finished it after not touching it for a while, was doing a chapter a night. Type of book you put down and it takes ages to get going again, but once you get back in to it you soon get through it.

half way through papillon really good so far... its a memoir of a wrongly convicted man who gets sentenced to life of hard work for murder. all about his journey and escape from a penal colony in guiana.

surprised so many cs members read tbh...

The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable - Some good points but massively boring, his first one on the subject was apparently better.

Half way through Inferno, same as the rest of the Dan Brown books so far but a very easy read and perfectly entertaining.

Also got David Mitchell's Back Story to finish off and then i got given a load of Andy McNab, Tom Clancey, Chris Ryan and Michael Crichton books.

I only read before I go to sleep which hampers me a bit. I just get less sleep though, doesn't take up any other time.
