It's a wedged peice of plastic, they go between beam and stub axle you just snap out the bits where the bolts go through, measure how much ya want and voila..

Yeah mate. The let was the plan I had for the block I bought off you. But I ended up needing it for this xe so didn't happen Unfortunatly

Right, spent a bit of time on the motor this weekend, just to get it back together from undersealing basically and fit my new coilovers..

Got the new tank and exhaust back on..

New fuel filter

Polybushed beam back on..

Front coilovers on..

And the rears..

Brakes all built back up with new bearings

.

Just need to get a new exhaust flange gasket then I can get her back on the deck and play with the height of coilies..

Overall very happy with how it's turnt out, just need a whiteline rear arb and the geometry all set up professionally and that's the handling side of things completely sorted...next, the engine

Strange question here.

When firing the tank and specifically fitting the small breather, was there anything in the hole?

When fitting mine, I noticed something in the hole, but wasn't sure if powdercoated had put it there to bung the hole.

Cheers

No mate, all holes were clear, shouldn't be anything blocking the breather mate, powdercoaters obv put it in as to not block it with powder and forgot to remove it.

Been recomended 300s by a few peeps on front so gonna see how they go, the new coilies are damper adjustable also so should be sweet.

Il be doing trial and error until I get it spot on anyway..

It wouldn't breath lol and might create a vacuum and not flow the fuel the way it should..(at a guess)

The last peice to my handling/suspension puzzle..

Also started to make myself a custom dash and instrument panel to house the stack tacho and other stack goodies il be ordering..

Got a standard dash and took a saw to it :lmao:

Then cut down the support brace as to still use the one half as not only has it fixing brackets, it will make it more sturdy seeing as the dash is now in half..

Left this bit like this until I get the flocked dash that's in the car, out and see exactly where and how to make the end panel.

Then made a start on the instrument panel, so removed standard clocks and chopped out the back plate on a spare set of clocks..

Unfortunately the stack tacho and speedo are 80mm and the cut outs as standard is about 84mm so they just fell through the holes, this meant getting the fibreglass matting and resin out to smooth over and start fresh..

Also strengthened the back of them with circle cut outs of the matting and extra resin so its nice and solid for mounting the new stuff..

Just need to order the new gauges and speedo and remove my old dash (which will be for sale) before I carry on. Also need to think about where to put a warning panel for indicator lights etc.
