All I'm saying is that saying how many people died from doing something is pointless unless they are accompanied by the number of people doing the activity in the first place.
I'm not saying alcohol is any better or worse than drugs, I'm just saying those numbers are pointless.

When I was younger, in my teens and early 20's I used to have a go on anything except heroin and coke. Which I have never done.
Still smoke the odd bit of Canabis if it's beig offered around.
Or I use it as a pain relief from my bad back when it's really bad as it relaxes me, reduces sciatica and I can sleep easier.

Yes, I've already agreed. But also many of those drug deaths will be because of something in the drug that shouldnt be or taking more than they should because its stronger than what their used to etc
Basicly down to zero regualtion on them, obviously, because they are illegal. But legalised and controlled those number of deaths would decrease.
My point in the first place was merely that alcohol is a drug and anyone who says people who take any drug is a looser is a hypocrite

I'm not sure what my opinion is anymore..
Had some great times... some stupid decisions/actions during and regrets after.
I used to have the house to myself for months at a time when I was 16-18 or so... parties most nights, out of it 7 nights a week, failed a year of uni, fights, hospital, lost 2 stone in a matter of weeks....
I'd like to think I had it under control but looking back there was a time when I'm not sure I did. I still have desires for a bit of coke or a pill, normally when out drinking with friends I was around back then. Time change and situations change... i get regular and random drug and alcohol tests these days so cant.

I get drunk every so often...
But no i dont use any form of illegal drug, never have never will because i've seen the bad side of them and had to grow up with that. It doesnt bother me that other people take them so im not jumping up on the high horse, just my choice is that i would never touch them, alcohol is my limit

Me and my friends are weird though because we have 'office' jobs surveying, design engineers etc yet at the weekends just like to get off our tits. Then come monday do the professional thing all over again.
I think its a nice balance as its not effecting our jobs and we dont go causing problems at weekends. We just wanna either go out and dance or sit in someones house reflecting on life listening to drake quietly untill about 11 in the morning
I never use to touch anything, but now I dont like being 'drunk'. I always have a shite hang over and I feel like im not in control. When I have had abit coke/mkat or even some pills I feel like I can see and think straight but at the same time be buzzing and still knock the drink back, as I do enjoy drinking alcoholic drinks.
