Steve, does driving with a passenger not undo all the weight saving stuff you've done? Serious question, btw. I always wonder this when I see people going anal about removing 800 g. from their interior and then adding +60 kg in the passenger seat.

yes definitely, but i wasnt going to obtain the best times possible it was merely a first try out. Track day will give me a better chance to do lots of laps at my own pace and with my own setups

Steve - I had a look around the Puma on the day, very impressive. Rusty Aerocatch bolts the only thing that stood out to me! Good work;
Others I got, Camera isn't responsive enough for fast moving shots

re steve and his passenger.
If had hadnt stripped the weight (say a basic 50kg saving) he'd have been effectivly carring 2 passengers.
So.... he got the passenger for free if you look at things in a positive manner

Did the mx5 driver save that spin in the pics above? Always impresses me when people can catch it and keep driving on.

Im more worried andy, that you bought those gloves to keep your dash clean rather than aid your driving

That Impreza was doing 1m 25s laps.... How did it catch and pass you so quickly if you were doing 1m 22s?

I wasnt doing steady 1.22 min laps
my first was slow, the 1.22 came in my 3rd lap i think, but i was going a bit mental and by the end and almost lost it at camp so thought i better ease off, my last few laps were no where near 1.22, high 20's low 30's, i was also mixed up with other cars near the end
