Suarez' shot from Enrique's cross summed it all up tbh - 8-10 yards out and belts it wide

We are so desperate for a finisher its unreal. We've certainly lost the away teams train of thought of "oh shit we're playing Liverpool" these days.
A few years ago you'd imagine our weak team for games like europa qualifers the team our PL one is today. God knows what team we will put out Thursday, i'd be happy with a team full of kids, as nothing seems to be working quick enough for us.
Glad we got our first Anfield win this year though, will probably boost some confidence.

Liverpool are playing ok, im sure in Jan when you get a proper striker they'll do fine. Just a case of how many points they cans crape together until then though.
Is there any news on who they are going to buy? Or is it a case of Carroll coming back?

Aye, we'll be okay, annoying though as we are better than 6th 7th 8th, and should try our hardest to maintain progress rather than scrape points together to see us through to Europa another year.
We've had no strong links with anybody really, still been linked with Sturridge and now Gamiero as Ibra replaced him at psg.
Would be more than happy with either as they both know where the net is!

A team that won the Champions League ~7 years ago and was in another final ~5 years ago shouldn't be in that position and do you honestly think we shouldn't be 6/7/8th in the league?
Assuming you think West Ham are staying 7th too then?

I don't know if that would be right to say you are better than 6th, 7th, 8th. Realistically there's United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle and Everton that I would say are better teams. That leaves 8th?

Everton will fuck up soon, moyes will have to sell more players, Fellaini will go to Chelsea or you in January, leaves them in the shit imo.
Can see us fighting Newcastle & Everton this season to attempt to finish 6th. Rather the days of fighting for the 4th spot, seriously hope we can get back to that point

you used to be one of the greatest teams in the world, yes.
but now it's 2012 and your team is ridiculously sub-standard, almost at a point where i would be willing to put my neck on the line and say west ham's team is better.
you have some great youngsters coming through but this takes time, and i have a feeling your fans/managers/chairman don't want to wait.
i've also said before that west ham are massively over achieving this season. but i remember a while ago we were 5th/6th/7th every season.

Unsure how you can say (or imply) how West Ham team is better; Your keeper is about 40 and and the height of his career was still gash when at Bolton.
Your genuine good players imo are Collins, Noble, Nolan, Cole, Te, Carroll & Yossi.
Yossi is at the end of his career, height was with us, Carroll is decent but only at Newcastle, Nolan is getting on but a good player, Noble, te, cole and Collins I rate. 5 Average players none are decent or would out stat / play better than picking our best 5 imo?
Reina / Agger / Gerrard / Lucas / Suarez
Jussi / Collins / Noble / Nolan / Carroll
You've got quite an old team, which there is nothing wrong with but are your youngsters any good to replace them with (genuine question).
Edit: Carroll is still ours too

i'm basing it on recent performances. our team seem a longer stronger in both defence and attack this season, and i can see us staying up in the top 8.
your main man is always injured and is getting on (gerrard), and reina doesn't look like he wants to be there tbh.
suarez is a cunt of the highest order and isn't consistent enough.
our youngsters aren't very good if i'm honest, which i'm quite worried about. but i'm sure we'll be fine (although won't be riding high like we currently are).

West Ham will not finish in the top 8. West Ham will be 12th-14th at best
