I love imola but think it looks better on the coupe.

Looks daft imo on the above pics with the hardtop on

Imola will look great but there must be millions of stunning reds out there that could possibly look better?

If I were respraying a car I would use the opportunity to go for a colour that was not available from factory, just to have a unique car.

rosso scuderia infront, Rosso corsa behind, corsa is very similar to imola
do it scuderia if you want red

Mark I would usually agree with you, however this isnt a show queen car that will have a top dollar crazy money repaint. The engine bay will stay black and it will be used everyday in all weathers and probably not have a chance to wash it weekly sometimes. It's a normal day to day car.

So I'm after the most inexpensive route to ridding my car of rust, giving it some "life" and the chance to have a sort of GTII convertible makes my willy twitch.

the red is PERFECT for the E36, it's classy, subtle yet bold looks premium not racy and is a solid so cheap
