Sorry, but im rather attached to my 60 MPG now This one has 100k on it runs sweet as a nut, full service history etc. I was amazed at how clean it was underneath too considering the milage its done - not a spot of rust on the shell anywhere! The 1.9tdi is good for well over 300,000 miles. Depends how far you are willing to travel but there are a couple of nice ones on ebay

My EP3 CTR averaged 35mpg over 5500 miles.

My Clio 172 has averaged 37mpg over 3000 miles.

Around town permanently I think those figures would be a LOT different that's all I'll be doing

I agree, my driving is mostly long-ish trips and motorway...You're probably looking at 25-30 (if you're lucky) round town.

My 172 got 32 consistently with my drive to work of 2 miles back roads then stop start for the next 8.

It's a bloody shame as if they'd made it more like 30 around town if kept out of VTEC then it would be the hot hatch king IMO
