Maybe one day when I pull my finger out of my arse! Although my best mate has set up on his own construction business and is doing very well out of it. Swings and roundabouts though, I probably enjoy my job more than they do just i don't get paid that well!

Is it just me that is more concerned with success than money? Yes I want to be paid what I deserve, but I also want to be successful in what I do

Money comes with success eventually, so will even itself out anyway.
I'm doing an Open University course starting next year to gain knowledge of a different field. Will be interesting and looking forward to it. If i go through with changing jobs, I'll be on shit money, naturally at the bottom, but wouldn't be look before worked way up the ladder again.

Well that title could really mean anything plus i suspect it includes contracting where there are many 6-figure+ jobs about (ie: IT PM etc).

Nail on head there.
I could probably get a job earnig 50% more basic easily,
I'd probably hate it,
I like my job, good bunch of lad to work with, constantly something different, not once have I ever not wanted to go to work since bein there.
So I stay where I am and make it up on trips abroad, grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Some project managers on contract are on near £600 a day where I am at the moment.
General IT staff contractors range from 300-500 per day.

This is a more accurate graph (based on my limited knowledge of what people earn). Granted this is only for graduate salaries so not a very fair account of the whole population but it should be a good indicator for the differences across industries:

Not fussed about discussing mine atall with anyone really
- £29k basic
- 1.7/2.4x Daily arate for each day spent overseas (multiplier changes pending working/living conditions)
- 1.5x Hourly rate for UK work when over the 39hr contracted week
- Quarterly Bonus dependant on Spares/Service Contracts sold
- Company Car & Phone authorised for private use (fuel included)
Not bad, not brilliant. Fairly standard package, hence not being bothered about discussing it.
Overseas working is the big earner for me, but that varies month to month, plus working overseas is shit IMO, so all swings & roundabouts...
