What are the specs? Sounds a pretty good deal.
You'll probably want an external screen for web work as 13" is going to be too small.
Saying that, my first Mac was a 13" and I do some times miss the mobility. The 15" is a heavy fucker.
when they release a 13 with dedicated gpu and quad core i'll buy one with a thunderbolt display without a second thought

Why does the display need a thunderbolt connection?

I mean the apple display, it's called a Thunderbolt Display isn't it? Just because its got a MacBook charger and usb hub, and looks cool.

Ah, yeah, I'm still stuck in the past and calling it a Cinema Display.

They still sell that. I like the idea of a little shelf behind it and just pop it away and essentially have an iMac, with removable laptop, but the 15" isn't portable enough and currently it's far too much to spend for an imac with only dual core and integrated GPU.
My 22" acer does for now

Just noticed my laptop didn't come with Windows 8 Pro, only Windows 8, need to upgrade to Pro if I want to use Media Center.

Thanks to the HP Backlit Keyboard, keep playing even in dimly lit rooms or on red eye flights. It’s a full-size keyboard that doesn’t compromise comfort [6].
[6] - Optional.
Fuck, wasn't given the option!

Phoned and said I want the lit up keyboard, they said it doesn't exist, they're sending me a new case, and new mouse. Winner.

What is it that you think is faster?
Can't see any reason why 16 GB should be faster than 8 GB unless you're raping your machine with something ultra heavy.
In most cases you'll never even use 8 GB to it's full potential.

4 + 8 = 10?
But yeah, I can imagine that increase might be slightly noticeable with some tasks.

Worth upgrading to Pro for the sake of Windows Media Center or just go ahead with XBMC?

£24.99 here -
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msuk/en_GB/pdp/productID.257641900?tduid=226b68e1bccb18d29197054732ab51e9
Think i'm going to leave it for now, can see myself using the laptop as a HTPC for films and music via Windows Media Center rather than a general use laptop!
