Same budget as me, same wants/needs except I need to fit a pram in the boot, I went to see 4 Megane 225s and no one would let me test drive it, not everyone likes these but I've got a soft spot for them, Civic Type R is a contender too, it must be nearly 2 months now and I still cant decide what I want.

Cool as fuck.
That....
is way beyond cool. That is fucking stupendous.
it looks like a pile of shite.
You all know nothing.
Robin, if you want a Civic and you don't buy an EK9, I will never respect you again. That kind of money will get a decent spec and a 340bhp turbo one sold for £5k the other month. One of the most capable hatches of all time with 314bhp/tonne

Physical size of it I think, I'm pretty sure it's to do with what would happen if either of us had an accident in one.

Ah ha, yes, indeed.
My Mum had a very nasty accident in our 1275GT when I was quite young. The car ended up about two thirds it's original length and she was very lucky to keep her legs.
I can vouch for feeling a tad nervous about this whenever i've driven one. Especially if it's been a while and one has got used to full sized cars. It does feel little like you're driving a piece of luggage or a pedal car with an engine.
It would have to have a proper cage to make it safe.

Jambo, I know what you mean, there's none in the colour I'd want anyway.
