Cheers guys, and yeah, back to silver wheels now!
Streamline Carbon Fibre exhaust trim turned up yesterday, will find time to fit it soon
Also have some 182 extra caster wishbones to fit, along with a nicely refurbed subframe and a front gearbox mount (non-sports dont have one) which should help with engine movement even more.

Engine, Undecided between the cheaper 1.9 DCi or the newer, much more expensive 2.0 DCi. 120 and 150 bhp respectivly, Both remappable, to 150 and 190, however the 2.0 has fucktons more torque out the box, and remapped.
Both I'd fit a 6speed box to. We'll see on that front though!
Rear can't go any lower, as it very often has passengers in the rear. Nose down is how it needs to be to handle too!

Ah fairnenough if that's how it needs to be
2.0 engine sounds a good plan, it would suit it being a replica of what has a 2.0 petrol

Need to roll the rear arches since fitting the disc rear beam and spacers, just catches on big bumps and with people in the back, arch roller is being sorted though
2.0 is obviously ideal, but its another grand or so on top. View it as the 1.9 being a XE and a 2.0 being a LET lol.

So am I, it looks much fresher. Grey was a bit dull and gay. Gloss black might be better, but I love the silver tbh.

Figured I'd update this.
First mention'able item is I had it RR'ed at a RR day with Cliosport. Surrey Rolling Road so very accurate.
140LBFT of torque too, More than some of the 172's on the day!
Car semi broke down too...
Dampened Alternator pulley, had been noisy for a while, I was being lazy tbh. Eventually failed in Southend so ended up taking the aux belt off (Luckily I had been doing a job for somebody so had tools) and driving the 45mins home with no aux belt, so no A/C or alternator. Made it no problem and even started up a few times after.
Replaced, as a temp measure, with a Solid pulley from a 182 I had. 6 rib but works fine.
Few weeks later, I changed the N/S outer CV after it got a small hole in it ages ago. Went without issue, until it came to putting the hub/balljoint back on. I'd had a noise for months, couldn't find the cause... Found it!
Video - http://i1315.photobucket.com/albums/t582/AWMotorsportz/Video24-03-2014174456_zps598c3f4e.mp4
Yep, the balljoint was loose in the hub, hole in the hub had enlarged, fuck knows how! Got a second hand hub off and mate, new balljoint and that fixed that fucker!
Hit a milestone last weekend too...
Still didn't treat it to a wash
So much lower than a standard DCi
Sorted my rear camber out
Now has Circa 2degrees each side.
Reason theres so little to show for my car, is because all the other cars I own/look after...
Thats only some of them. Plus I keep buying more.
Also trying to save for another motorbike.
See you lot at Castle Combe tomorrow!

I need help with boost pipes.
Effectively what I need is a hard pipe 100mm long 51mm (2inch) to 57mm (2.25) adaptor, Anybody got any suggestions? Has to have flanged (or ribbed, whatever you wanna call it) ends as it has to deal with 16psi of boost.
HELP!

Samco do metal joiners, not sure about a reducer though.
You could just buy an exhaust reducer, it'll be mild steel though and you'd need to swage it yourself.

Problem with any off the shelf exhaust reducer I've found, they are all internal dimentions, outside dimentions are always too big for my pipework (2.25inch, 57mm ID, but 60mm OD)

172's are two a penny, and pence to buy.
Just get a 172 instead of fucking around with engine conversions, more hassle than its worth

Err I know, I've owned loads and worked on even more, as it is my job.
I'm only "fucking around with engine conversions" as I'll be keeping it Diesel. So thus cheap as fuck to run, with massive torque & power. Plus it's never been done before, so it'll be a show off piece for my company, when I have time to start the conversion.

More updating to be done here...
First up, after PVS, and the major knocking I had that weekend/week, I decided to inspect the big end bearings...
Fitted new bearings, and they solved the knocking, result!
Fitted an alloy intercooler.
Converted the dash to White LED's, although I haven't got a completed photo
Then, did many trackdays, but this is from Llandow, South Wales. Track tyres fitted for this!
I then spent the week in Wales (heading north)
Car performed flawlessly as always. 2k miles in 10 days!
Recently fixed the minor boost leak with more alloy piping.
Roughly up to date now.
So, after 183k or so, on the original turbo, clutch and gearbox, they are all fucked.
Gearbox needs a rebuild, Turbo needs a rebuild, Clutch likes to slip if you get a bit of heat into it, and it has a coolant leak.
So, I bought this beast months ago..
A 1.9 DCi in this...
I've finally got time to get on with it, so the engine is coming out this weekend of both cars I hope, get the 1.9 sat in place this weekend I'd like.
Then it just needs clutch converting to hydraulic
Completely custom 3inch exhaust
Custom driveshafts (6speed Laguna inner, 172 Outer)
Chassis leg notching for 6speed box
cable shifter
more custom boost pipes (Ideally want solid)
Messing about with ECU's (Clio UCH/key/Dials)
Engine mounts
intank fuel pump conversion
Plus lots, lots lots more.
Hopefully have it done within a month!
I'll try and keep this a little more up to date now.
