This should answer that one Craig!



So, I've got front discs and pads, standard 328 rear discs and pads, new wear sensors, new pad springs, dot 5.1 fluid, spark plugs as they weren't done at the last service, new front and rear drop links, to fit when I get the coilovers and its also having an oil an filter change tomorrow with Castrol oil.



Discs are pretty big

Craig, did you change the master cylinder or just stick with the 328 one?

Give it a try and see how it feels, I done mine at the same time as the brakes, braided hoses and some new copper lines so don't actually know if it is actually needed, I just done it because it was recommended and I got it cheap

They're 330 discs are they? What's the part number? What else do you need, just carriers?

I'm going to chance it, just found out my brakes are crap because the carriers were painted on the surface the pad slides on

Hopefully this will improve it.

James, disc part number is 104110738 pads are 101110828, calipers retaining spring kit is 107110288 and wear sensor I'm using the 328 ones which are 106110048.

You need the above plus 330 calipers and carriers.

Are those front discs the 325mm ones? Fancy them for mine. Think mine are 300 fronts and the bigger ones are supposed to make a huge difference.

They are indeed Ben. I'll be honest, I'm worried about the master cylinder issue but I think it'll be ok.

Discovered today that I will need spacers to clear the coilovers was aiming to get them on on Saturday but we don't have any spacers at work.

Yeah, advertised incorrectly so I'm not bothering.

Having a mare with brakes too fitted them last night and one of the calipers is sticking so I've fucked a disc and glazed the pads.

Fixing tomorrow with recon calipers and replacement discs and pads.

I would not fit second hand bm calipers without rebuilding now. They ALL stick. Recon is easiest route

Bm calipers are abit shit. I had a sticky caliper. Properly cooked my pads and disc. Made a right mess of my alloy

Is it just the piston that gets stuck then? Mine have been fine (cue them failing now), although they've always squealed since I bought it. Even changed the pads without success.

Yeah sticky piston. My brakes don't make a single noise. When I bought the discs and they came with mintex pads, the garaged owner pulled his face at the pads and said they squeal like fuck. Never had a single noise out of them apart from when bedding in.
Think they are copper slipped to fuck
