Rescued that a bit today. Seen this before though havent we, how many times will our bowlers have to bail out a limp batting performance. TBF to them its been a bowlers day, quite glad in the end we collapsed and got to have a go at them in those conditions, we could have shut up shop and tried to bat out for the day and not added many more runs and had to face them on a batters day tomorrow.
Still more than in this.

Why do bowlers have to get such a big run up for a fast bowl that only tops 95mph, they could do that from a stand still surely?

Not the first time we have started poorly in a series, our bowlers certainly glossed over the batting frailties in the NZ series. It's so annoying because at 102-2 they had such a good platform to really dominate a session but threw it away with loose shots and lack of concentration.
Shaping up a lot like the first test in 2005, albeit roles reversed.

Mines been correcting Siddle to Diddle all fucking day
But anyway, the cricket, as you said, the batting hasn't been great for a while now, when it clicks its brilliant but it doesn't seem to happen too often at the moment. Luckily Swann and Anderson in particular are brilliant most of the time.
Broad isn't certain to be coming out tomorrow, so will be interesting to see how we worm around that, was fine this evening with 21 over's, but they can't do 90 between 3 of them for the day.

Gonna have to resort to Root, Pieterson, Trott to fill in otherwise which really isn't ideal!
