The mind games are fascinating. Is Mourinho playing with no striker knowing Moyes would play Rooney out of position in midfield thus hinting at the prospect the number 1 striker spot is his at Chelsea if/when he wants it? Or is it just because Torres is shit and Lukaku isn't ready for a game of this magnitude?

I don't think Mourinho is a Torres fan.

Rooney needs to start for two reasons, if he is staying he needs to feel like he is needed and not just a squad player, and you would be stupid not to play him against Chelsea.
