I think he's a decent player, left a tinpot league to join another one, be interesting to see how he does in the premier league.

I must admit, I haven't seen much of him, I believe he's only played a handful of games this season so do they actually rate him at all? It seems odd for arsenal to want to go after him. Maybe arsenal fans have a different view?

He has a cracking goal scoring record for his country. Scored 12 in 11 for the u21s. Not seen him play though so not sure if it's a big gamble or not.
Man U wouldn't sell Rooney to us for a reasonable amount, and why would Costa and Mandzukic want to move when they're going fine with their current clubs, especially as it's only January.

Because the prem is a big draw for some players. Ozil came when he was at arguably the biggest club in the world. Bayern have RL coming in the summer so Mandzukic may feel its time to move on.
Also, U21's means jack shite, look at the players who have U21 caps and did nothing. It's worlds apart from Prem level, next you'll linking youtube clips of him in training!

so name said player we should be going after now?
I'm not sure tbh. They have the cash so why not go after Rooney, Mandzukic, Diego Costa? But I mean actually make a serious offer for them, not like the silly Saurez shannigans! I can almost see it now, Morata will come in, be hit and miss (let's face it, anybody could score in that team)' they fall to 3rd but fans will be happy even tho Wenger bottled it IMO by not trying to sign a world class striker!
thsoe 3 clubs wont sell their start strikers mid-season Morata would be a body, thats all... huge prospect mind but we need numbers of a decent standard

The sale of Kevin De Bruyne, though? I'd imagine we're spending a couple of million pounds in total.

Sale? Is it not a loan again?
Draxler rumours picking up speed again... great signing if exceptionally expensive. suspect Wenger sees him as a CF in future like Henry...
Hopefully AW learns his lesson from the Hazard farce!

Draxler is a hugely talented player. Especially for his age! A star for many many years to come.
De Bruyne is a baffling one. He's such a good player but is way down the pecking order at Chelsea. He'll go to WB and end up back in the PL one day

All the papers (inc. Crossy at the mirror) leading with Draxler to Arsenal for £35m, if Sp*rs kindly tee us up again and sell Holtby to Schalke. They reckon Wenegr coudl do with what he was potentially planning for Reus and make him an Henry/RVP style CF Wouldnt be an immediate ST solution though and a few respected papers are sayign Morata may also be back on again (loan with view to a permanent deal)
might see Park go out on loan if either happens, then he is a free agent
Still think we need to look at a CB too (Schar perhaps), whioh may hyappen if Monreal has, as expected, brokmen a metatarsal
edit to say some papers reporting this mornign that draxler is out for 3 months, although dont understand it to be true...
we've also been linked with forest's Jamaal Lascelles... anyone know anyhting about him? CB prospect, 4th choice so would fit in well tbh... though Schar can play RB as well so Wenger may see as a more sensible option given uncertainty around Sagna

BIGGG money but then we dithered on Hazard for a year and he went for what, €37m, so worht doing if AW loves him as much as the papers say!

Draxler is worth £35 million in todays market IMO, he is not far off the level of an Ozil at the age he is just now.

Considering the prices being thrown about for Ross Barkley, I'd say so! Tremendous young player. The wealth of talent Germany has is frightening.

Matic done and in! Given the money made/being made on KDB that's probably a couple of million spent!

BBC put it as £21 million...
All in all, it's a few million, probably.
