Got loads done again today! Hoping to get it MOT on Wednesday if all goes well.
I know it's not to everyone's taste but I'm happy with how's its going (95% there)
Got a PC fan with an inch thick heat sink to keep the RR cooler
Got to connect fuel pump to tank instead of to a jerry can, lol
Align headlights
Play with idle adjuster to get it a bit smoother on tickover
And a few other bits and pieces ....oh and put 4 wheel nuts on each wheel!
And a pic of our guinea pigs 'cos they're so god damn cute....

MOT booked for Wednesday! Bit nervous to say the least.
Managed to get a large heat sink and fan from Maplins for £5, which should cool the RR well.
I now have a fan on the front of the RR and the new heat sink and fan on the metal side....should work well!

Well, some great news yesterday, it finally passed its MOT after 51 weeks of blood, sweat and numerous tears (and pockets of cash!).
Really pleased with how it's gone, although there are still a few bits to tidy up here and there, but at least now I can enjoy driving it too! Just in time for the cold, wind, ice, rain, snow and mud

I was most relieved with the brake test. I didn't quite understand what the mechanic was saying but basically, they were 115% (presumable 15% over the required limit?), which apparently, once he entered the car weight of 450kg took it to over 200%?
Oh and it spins in 1st, 2nd and 3rd easily , let the fun commence!

Got a bit done today again.
Was fed up of the mahoosive number plates, so cut them down.
Before:
After:
Before:
After:
Fitted my Superlite wheel centre caps
Fitted my mini fire extinguisher on the dash.
I have a brand new uncut carbon fibre dash to fit eventually when it's not so cold, so I'll be moving it again, but wanted one for safety.
I also broke a wheel spacer bolt putting a wheel back on, so order one of those and replaced it

Thanks very much Haimsey! When you look at the first pictures, it definitely come along way eh? Interesting to see that few of the initial haters haven't commented since it's been back in one piece.
I took the wife out in it the day for the first time to video it, but she screamed so much, told me to slow down and "don't go too fast" and nearly dropped the ipad out of the car, so the vids aren't worth watching!

Really? You never mentioned it. Unfortunately I don't attach too much weight to your opinion given the state of your current project(s). Lol

surely all the power to a fix rear beam isnt going to handle great.
Yes i know some iconic cars came out the factory like that. but they havent been built in a shed

Neither was this, it was built in a garage.
Seriously though, I see what you're saying, but I haven't driven it properly yet, so there'd be no point me making amendments until I know what I want to change.
The rear axle is something to contemplate at a later date. I've been concentrating on getting road legal until now!
