Has anyone taken up this deal? Been looking at getting a 2nd car and this is tempting me.

Anything else worth looking at in comparison for similar money? I was looking at the DS3's but don't know if there's still cheap deals on them.

Corsa will be much more racey than the DS3. It's will be quicker too.

DS3 is fun but not a "hot" hatch IMO. However what it
Lacks in speedy speedy it makes up for in doing
About double the Mpg whilst still being torquey and nippy and reasonably refined.

That offer is seriously good, if I where in same place again is get the Corsa

Doesn't look that way but, if she did they'd have 5 certain customers!

I would prob aswell; have the paperwork to send back to jet at the moment but not 100% sure at the moment

Ive sent my proposal form to them just now and im waiting to hear back from them. Ive asked for a quote of 9000 a year as i wont do 10000 miles and its now 160.56 a month.

How many years are you doing that over?

Its a 3x23 lease So a two year thing. Here's part of the email.

Please find below the details as discussed.

Vauxhall Corsa VXR 1.6T 192ps 3dr

Personal Contract Hire

2 years

3 rentals in advance followed by 23

Non maintained

9000 miles per year rental is £133.87 + vat (£160.64) (Full term i calc as 4176.64) (128.44 less)

10000 miles per year rental is £137.99 + vat (165.58) (4305.08)

If you exceed the total contract mileage any additional miles will be charged at 3.81 pence per mile + vat (4.57p).

Wierd thing i noticed aswell is that say your were on the 9k a year plan and you actually did 10k, it only costs £45.70x2 years =£91.40 for the excess mileage. So its actually slightly cheaper to have excess miles than pay for more.

This the deal I got a year ago through jet finance. Very happy still a year on, but two years is long enough for me. Deciding on what next now, am thinking xj6/xj8 4.0.

So what actually happens if for some reason you can no longer afford the payments... they come and take the car and that's it? Surely there's penalties involved.

How do you mean cost per mile?, just fuel or everything?. The clock in the car is saying 37.6mpg after about 3 tanks full, ive got a 6 mile commute to work on country roads and never much traffic round doncaster. Never had less than 36 indicated during the year ive had it. Also got to point out, 37.6 to me means its doing 33-34.

Yes very old fashioned way of thinking. Just ignore them and do what makes you happy and suits your circumstances that's all that matters

Just thinking if your paying to hire a car for a certain mileage, what does the cost work out per mile, i suppose fuel doesn't really matter as however you fund a car you have to pay for that.

I've just bought a 55plate Audi TDI and expecting it to last a few years without any big issues, bought it with 54,000miles on the clock for about £4k

How much tax comes with them, then is the cost of tax on you beyond that? Also, how many services is there likely to be in the 2yr period, if any and what would the average price be?

Not at what I assume will be a Vauxhall dealer in this case. You'd be able to go cheaper or do it yourself (unless it was brand new and warranty stipulates dealer servicing I guess).

Arnold Clarck Vauxhall will be as cheap as anywhere and you can't do it yourself anyway if you want to keep the warranty.

Supposedly 20k or year, whatever comes first, so would need a service.

Nothing should stipulate dealer servicing only. You have the right to use who you want to.

Most people go with the dealer though because people masturbate over dealer stamps, weirdly.

Obviously if it's in the lease agreement then thats another matter entirely. Still wouldn't be a massive amount I reckon. Probably no dearer than a first service on an unlimited edition corsa.
