It's just not the same the following for all vw vans adds to the appeal imo
Always strikes me as a bit odd Neil.

Well I've struggled to buy a t4 or a t5. I've spoken to the people selling them in the day time then as I was about to leave after work to go have a look, ring up and they have sold them!! Such a high demand. Must be mind blowing for Internet people when old vans with a few miles on are worth so much?

There's one in my local paper with low miles for £4k no pics or anything but doubt it's advertised elsewhere. I can get you the number if you so wish Nic?

My mates one has stood for about 2-3yrs. Keeps telling me its worth quite a bit. But to me it looks like a £500 vehicle.

You need to put on your VAG tinted glasses then you'll be seeing the dollar signs.

theyre a lot cheaper than the vans, its just the full glass that puts me off tbh. i think the actual t4 day vans look way better.

Could always wrap the glass at the rear? My sides are limo tinted so can't see shit from outside in, but perfect from inside out.

Thought that's quite smart and mileage is less than average for the year just it's a 1.9. People I know have the 2.5s

If you've got your heart set on a transporter fair enough but I think there's to many about.
I'd personally rather a sprinter, really well built and great to drive!
Then again my opinion is slightly biased as I drove one everyday for years
Corsa 1.6 sport - 1
1.7 puma engined fiesta - 0
Keeping corsa's on the redline since 2008

Yeah I suppose if it's gona be your only mode of transport then it can be a nightmare at times
Trying to park it in any standard bay can be interesting

Not just parking, a lot of the roads we go down in the lakes would be a nightmare in a van that size. A t4 or t5 isn't much bigger than an estate car really.

if its a 1.9 PD engine it will run forever! just make sure its had correct oil at correct intervals.
that looks really smart with those wheels on too

they're not the pd engines in them no they are something else. about 65bhp or something.
1.9td ABL engine code. 67bhp and 103lb/ft

there are a few 1.9 T4's on ebay claiming 90bhp as a book figure, I'd guess that was the non pd engine in them.
65bhp in a van that size doesn't sound like its going to get the thing moving really, probably better sticking with a 2.5
