I usually try to go up to people and talk to as many as I can... can be a bit embarressing when you see a group and you try to introduce yourself to them...
Its actually quite embarressing saying 'who are you on the site?'
I usually just say 'I'm paul J off the site' - and they hopefully tell me who they are. Otherwise I end up figuring out who I saw later on when I see their cars on CS!

Who knows. I was discussing this with my bird once and I got her to punch me in the stomach and it didn't really hurt, and it was quite a hard punch too! Perhaps there is a metal plate in my stomach, hence why I have been having problems with my car alarm lately!

Sooty, nahh, piper-x and exhaust made D4 sound sooooo nice. Used to get sooo many comment about it. Just sounded a tad different from another other 16v i've heard.

Inlet manifold and throttle body design mate! This is why a SPi 1.4 8v won't make the same kind of noise, whereas an MPi 1.4 8v (like on my Astra) makes the same kind of noise.
When I was helping my mate fit a K&N cone to his old GSi once, we removed the airbox, and then he started the engine up and revved the fuck out of it (with no airbox on), standing next to the car, it scared the shit out of me!
I was thinking "WTF?!"

Vauxhall engines should have the airbox, they can sound good, and feel faster with ind kit, but realistcally speaking, the airbox with panel filter is much much better.
